- More cooling fin area to extend the life of the engine
- Added webbing on the crankcase to strengthen high-stress areas
- Coarser threads on the remote needle valve for easier engine tuning
- Overall tighter needle valve fit with O" ring
- A fuel inlet that points up for easier fuel line access
- A set screw on the needle valve for an optional extension
- Flat drive washer to expose more crankshaft threads for securing prop
- Nylon backplate eliminates metal to metal contact when using electric starte
The OS LA Series is a whole new design in sport engines and features a remote needle valve for making carb adjustments safer, and a nylon backplate that is less susceptible to damage. Also new is the color — metallic blue (the .40 LA engine is also available in the original natural aluminum color).
Glow plug is required and not included.
