The Fokker DR-1 Triplane was one of the most iconic aircraft of World War I. This innovative fighter was both maneuverable and powerful enough to wreak havoc on its enemies. We have taken this iconic design and reimagined it into the FT Triplane XL which is easy to build and fun to fly, while not compromising on performance or capability. This larger improved version of our FT Mighty Mini Triplane builds in as little as 4 hours and can fly over 10 minutes on a single charge. Because of its incredible maneuverability, this aircraft makes a great introduction into the world of scale-vintage aircraft for intermediate pilots.
You can expect to do all the classic barnstorming maneuvers that you typically see from aircraft of this era. Along with that, the over-powered 2814 motor gives you the ability to perform advanced aerobatics like high alpha flying and incredibly short take-offs and landings. Add on the optional FPV pan and tilt and you are now transported back to the early days of flight and ready to do battle from the cockpit itself. This plane is at home in a small backyard due to its incredible slow speed abilities or take it to a park and tear up the skies with plenty of room to spare.
