Overview
The Yakovlev design bureau have a long line of aircraft designs which started in 1937 with UT-2/AIR-10. Part of a new generation of acrobatic aircraft is a development of the single-seat Yak-55M, designed by Chief Constructor Dmitry Drach and Lead Engineer Vladimir Popov it first flew in December of 1993.
This exciting model designed by the FMS team comes out of the box equipped with a customized high-output brushless power system and digital high-speed servos. The combination of these high-performance components with the light weight and superb rigidity of the airframe result in a 3D airplane with a 1.8:1 thrust-to-weight ratio that knows no limits.
