There are two big reasons. One is simple stability. The other is sophisticated electronics.Â
Drones are stable by design. Where helicopters have one or two rotors, drones have four or more. Sinceall rotors produce the same amount of thrust, drones are perfectly balanced front to back and side to side, producing great stability and level flight.
Sophisticated electronics control each motor to keep the drone stable. Like most drones, the Proto-N is equipped with a gyro, as well as sensor that automatically maintain level flight when outside forces (like wind) affect it.
Both make it easier for new pilots to develop flying skills and drone flying to its fullest.
