The “Songbird” has been too long neglected, so now is the perfect time to reintroduce this TV icon to the modeling world. The model is done in 1:10.5 scale and designed for clean, quiet, economical power, and simple 4-ch R/C. The model is large enough to fly very well but small enough to easily fly in larger parks or designated flying fields.

The high flying, western cowboy “Sky King” was a hero to many a young boy dreaming dreaming of his own flying adventures. The sky king series began on radio in 1946, and ran until 1954 when the show first appeared on television. Sky King’s first airplane was the T-50 Bobcat, which appeared in 39 episodes, was a twin radial powered fabric covered light transport. The T-50 also served as in the military as a twin engine flight trainer, as well as a cargo hauler light utility transport.
