FEATURES
The WASA was built in 1625, ordered by the Swedish King, Gustavus II Adolphus. On her maiden voyage on August 10, 1628, the WASA capsized and sank in Stockholm's harbour.
In 1664, 53 of the WASA's 64 guns were salvaged with the aid of a primitive diving bell. The ship itself was relocated in 1956 and brought to the surface on April 24, 1961. She was moved to the Beckholm docks and placed on a specially built concrete pontoon. Restoration work was begun, and the WASA Museum was opened to the public in 1962.
The WASA is a 1:75 scale model of wood construction and comes with all fittings.
